Normally they tolerate also long frosts without any problem, therefore they can be grown outside; in case of particularly rigid winters cover the aerial part with frost cloth.

Fertilization Aciphylla squarrosa : Give some fertilizer during the vegetative period, dissolving it in normal waterings every 15-20 days, or mixing a slow-release fertilizer with the soil.
