Adiantum pedatum

Treatments Adiantum pedatum : It is advisable a precautionary fungicide treatment, to be applied at the end of winter, using Bordeaux mixture. As far as insects are concerned avoid to apply a treatment if such parasites are not present on the plants.

continental : It is advisable regular but not excessive waterings; increase waterings in spring and summer and decrease them when the cold period starts, suspend them in winter. Always allow the soil to dry out completely between two waterings. Avoid water stagnations.

alpine : Water The Adiantum pedatum rather regularly from March to October, always allowing the soil to dry out well between two waterings. Avoid water excesses or stagnating water; during the cold season waterings can be decreased or suspended.

mediterranean : It is advisable to intervene only when the soil is dry, however avoiding to expose the plant to long duration drought periods. We can decrease waterings or even suspend them during cold months.

continental : The Adiantum pedatum prefers to be grown in half-darkness.
These plants tolerate also slight frosts without any problem; cover the aerial part with frost cloth in winter.

alpine : It prefers semishady locations, where it can receive few hours a day of sunlight.
They can tolerate slight frosts without any problem; cover the aerial part with frost cloth in winter.

mediterranean : We suggest to place these plants in a semishady location for a balanced growth.
Normally they tolerate also long frosts without any problem, therefore they can be grown outside; in case of particularly rigid winters cover the aerial part with frost cloth.

Fertilization Adiantum pedatum : Ensure our houseplants a regular fertilizing; from March to October add some universal fertilizer to normal waterings, every 15-20 days; for the rest of the year fertilize every 30-40 days.
