Pests Aeonium : Succulent plants most often suffer from the cochineal parasite, it is eliminated by using mineral oil; avoid excessive watering which can cause the unpleasant growth of roots and collar rots.

continental : These plants shall be watered frequently to keep a constantly humid substrate. However avoid the water stagnation and decrease waterings in case of low temperatures.

alpine : Water The Aeonium very regularly, to maintain the soil always humid, but not soaked. During the coldest months water only if the soil dries out completely.

mediterranean : Waterings will be very regular, giving a good amount of water, to allow the soil to be constantly humid, avoiding to drench it completely. Decrease waterings in the cost season.

continental : Grow The Aeonium away from direct sunlight, in a semishady location.
It is advisable to place these plants outside during summer; all year long they are grown as houseplants.

alpine : These plants like few hours a day of sunlight, therefore place them in a location where they are exposed to a filtered sunlight or that are shaded for few hours a day.
These plants can not bear temperatures below 10-12°C, therefore grow them in the apartment during the cold months.

mediterranean : These plants need to be placed in semishady locations for most part of the day.
These plants do not tolerate cold; they are grown at a minimum temperature of 10-12°C, therefore in the house or in the hothouse.

Fertilize Aeonium : These plants shall be fertilized regularly, every 20-30 days, from April to October; avoiding nitrogen-rich fertilizers and fertilizings during cold months.
