Treatments Alnus glutinosa : It is advisable a precautionary fungicide treatment, to be applied at the end of winter, using Bordeaux mixture. As far as insects are concerned avoid to apply a treatment if such parasites are not present on the plants.

alpine : Grow The Alnus glutinosa where it can be exposed every day to direct sunlight as long as possible.
This is a very rustic plant, that is grown in the garden all year long without any problem.

mediterranean : Grow The Alnus glutinosa in a very bright location, with a good exposure to direct sunlight.
These plants are very rustic and survive in the garden also in case of long intense frosts.

Fertilization Alnus glutinosa : Adult trees do not need fertilizing, on the contrary young ones are fertilized at the end of winter, by burying at the base of the trunk a ripe organic fertilizer or a slow-release granular fertilizer.
