Exposure Lobelia splendens

continental : This plant prefers to be exposed to direct sunlight all year long.
They suffer from frost; therefore it is advisable to grow them in a pot, to be able to replace them in a sheltered place in winter; alternatively we can cover the aerial part with frost cloth.

alpine : Grow the Lobelia splendens where it can be exposed every day to direct sunlight as long as possible.
These plants do not tolerate cold; therefore in autumn replace them in the apartment or in the hothouse.

mediterranean : Grow the Lobelia splendens in a very bright location, with a good exposure to direct sunlight.
The Lobelia splendens can be damaged also by slight frosts, therefore place them in a sheltered location, or cover them with frost cloth in winter.

Fertilization Lobelia splendens : For a luxuriant grows of annual plants we suggest to mix some slow-release granular fertilizing with the soil in which they will be placed, to ensure a constant amount of mineral salts in the soil.
