This is a very rustic plant, that is grown in the garden all year long without any problem.

mediterranean : Grow the Picea pungens in a very bright location, with a good exposure to direct sunlight.
These plants are very rustic and survive in the garden also in case of long intense frosts.

Fertilization Picea pungens : Adult trees do not need fertilizing, on the contrary young ones are fertilized at the end of winter, by burying at the base of the trunk a ripe organic fertilizer or a slow-release granular fertilizer.
