These plants are very rustic and survive in the garden also in case of long intense frosts.

Fertilization Polygonum alpinum : Give some fertilizer to climbing plants starting from winter, preferably use a slow-release fertilizer; alternatively we can use a universal fertilizer to be dissolved in normal waterings every 20 days; avoid fertilizings in winter.
